Treat Yourself To A Little Retail Therapy | Abi Street

How can anybody really resist January sales? I am never really a sucker for clothes sales because I am way to lazy to look through last season pieces to find one nice thing. But when I got an email from Feel Unique saying there was 10% off even on sale items, I had to head over and see what I could find.

I am a die hard Marc Jacobs fan. I have nearly all of his perfumes now and I love them so much. I was so excited for the release of Daisy Dream, but just couldn't afford to buy it for myself what with all my money gone over Christmas.  But I saw it was in the sale and just had to get it.

Everything about Daisy Dream is amazing, from the packaging which is just adorable, to the beautiful scent. It is such a fresh floral smell that is perfect for getting into spring. This is definitely my new favourite perfume.

I am also a huge lover of Tanya Burr Cosmetics, I have done so many blog posts now that mention her products. When I heard she was releasing new colours to her lip gloss line, I was so excited. I am a huge lover of berry lips, and I was so happy to see there was now a berry gloss in her line.
This is Enchanted Forest. I know that in the packaging it does look really dark, but when applied to your lips it is a lovely rich purple. I am obsessed with this colour and have been wearing it everyday since I got it.

Here is a selfie example for you!

100 Follower Giveaway | Abi Street

eeee! This post for me is so exciting! So I have just reached 100 followers on my blog. I know compared to some people this will seem like nothing, but for me personally, this is a huge milestone!
I just want to say thank you so much to everyone who follows/comments/reads my blog, you honestly have no idea how much this means to me!

My blog has been working progress for a while now, and I am finally happy with the standard it is at, obviously it can be improved, but for now I am happy. This is my hobby and something I am really proud to show people. I love reading other peoples blogs and interacting with other bloggers.

So without further or do, here is my giveaway!

I went and purchased these items yesterday after reaching 100 followers and I have picked up the following.

1. Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Hot Spice
I really wanted to add something from Makeup Revolution into this giveaway, although I am currently yet to try anything from the collection, absolutely every girl and their cat are raving about it. This palette is so beautiful, consisting of 8 gorgeous shades!

2. Sleek Eyeshadow Palette in Storm
If you have read my previous blog posts (Click Here), you will see how much I love this palette. I use it nearly everyday and cannot speak highly enough of Sleek Makeup. This was definitely a must for this giveaway!

3. Tanya Burr Eyelashes in Date Night
I absolutely adore Tanya and her products so something from her range also had to be included! Personally I am not keen on eyelashes, but I know a lot of people are! These are the nicest ones I could find in store.

4. I Love Set in Mango & Papaya
I have the big one of these for myself and it smells amazing! I really like the I Love products, they are really rich smelling and feel lovely on your skin. I didn't want this to just be makeup, so a body essential was needed.

Good luck to everyone who enters, and again, thank you so much

Household Wishlist | Abi Street

So recently me and my best friend Ellie signed the contract for our house to move into later this year. Since then I have been obsessed with looking at new home ware bits just to make the house feel a bit more homey for us. Me and Ellie both have really similar style so it is so easy to go shopping for home ware things.

First off, there is the adorable Elephant Light, from Urban Outfitters. If you couldn't already tell from this wishlist, I am loving the colour grey at the moment. This light is absolutely adorable, and I think it would look so cute in a living room, on a small table. Now, I'm not usually a fan of gold, but I love this Gold Birdcage Tealight Holder from Homebase. I think this would look so nice on a bedside table, with a lovely smelling tealight in! I'm not sure what I like so much about it, I just think it is so cute.  Who honestly can resist fairy lights? I know me and Ellie are planning to have fairy lights everywhere in our house because we both love them. The Lantern Lights from Asda are perfect. I think they are so so cute. I'm not exactly sure where this Buddha Head from Tesco would go, but when I saw it, I just had to add it into this wishlist. I absolutely adore Buddha's, they just instantly make me feel so calm! In all honesty, who can resist a cute cushion? This Cushion from Asda is absolute adorable, & would make any sofa look nicer.  Along with the colour grey, I am also loving the colour turquoise. I have seen so many lovely mugs, and as an avid tea drinker, it was hard not to include them all. I adore this Turquoise Mug from H&M Home. The colour is so so nice, which is the reason why I love it so much.

Me and Ellie have already decided to have a basket of Lush bath bombs in our bathroom. I always see so many people displaying Lush products on cake stands. I love this idea and I think this Cake Stand from Asda would be perfect to do just that. Again another cup, and more gold, but this Cup & Saucer  from H&M is so lovely. I love drinking out of tea cups. I have been looking for a nice box to hold little things in for a while now, I love this Memories Box from Homebase, This would be perfect to keep tickets in and place on a shelf. Again something grey, this Heart Magnet Board from Homebase would look absolutely adorable in the kitchen, with little notes and vouchers on. And last but not least, this Turquoise Jar  from Zara Home. This would look lovely on my dressing table filled with makeup brushes!

On A Bad Day, There Is Always Lipstick | Abi Street

The latest lip craze seems to be the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks. I am definitely a huge fan of these lipsticks. I read various different blog reviews of these products before purchasing them myself, because I feel like I need to see what other people think before trying things out for myself.

I have really dry lips which means drying lip products are a huge no no for me! These glide on really easily like a lipgloss and then dry to a matte finish, without making my lips chap. The texture is really creamy and not to cakey. The colours are really pigmented, meaning when you are purchasing the product in the shop, the colour is true to the packaging.

The colours i purchased were, Grand Cru, Nude-Ist and Happy Nude Year. I decided to purchase a dark red for a winter months, and who can have too many red lip products in their collection? Grand Cru also looks lovely with Tanya Burr's Mistletoe Kisses on top, just to give it a bit of shine rather than a matte lip. I then decided to purchase two nude colours. I'm really getting into nude lip products at the moment, very Kylie Jenner, I know! But although I did get two nude shades, they are quite different. Nude-Ist has more red tones whereas Happy New Year has a lot more coral tones through the colour.

I think that all three of these colours are wearable during the day with a plain eye, but to wear them in the night, I think they look beautiful with a smokey eye. I honestly can't speak highly enough of Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet products at the moment. I am always grabbing these out of my makeup bag for my go to lip product.

Make Up Your Mind | Abi Street

So recently I have been a spending a bit more than a can afford. Student loan is in and I have 0 self control. These are my most recent beauty buys. I have to admit, I bought some of these products a while back now, so this is going to be a review sort post at the same time.

I had the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation for a while and thought it was time to try something new for my face. I had a read a fair few reviews on the Revlon Photoready foundation and thought it seemed like a good foundation to move on to. It's slightly more expensive than the Rimmel foundation at £12.99, but so far I am really enjoying using this product. It covers all the areas that I need covering, giving my skin a even colour.

Recently, I have been suffering from dark circles under my eyes from sleepless nights due to endless assignments at uni. I was on the hunt for a good concealer for my under eyes. I always use the Collection 2000 as my general concealer, but I just felt like it wasn't enough. I have tried this product a few times, but it just really doesn't work well with me. I find the consistency of this product really cakey, and just doesn't sit right under my eyes. One thing I do love about this product is the packaging, I feel like Seventeen have really upped their game with packaging recently!

Now this is a product that is actually fully used up. Again, like the previous product I was looking for something to get rid of those dark circles. I loved this product and definitely will be repurchasing it soon. I apply this just before my powder, making a triangle shape under my eyes and blending it in. I feel like this is really brightening and adds to slightly highlight.

I have a post lined up where I will be doing a full review of three Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lip sticks, where this one is included. But this is one of my latest and favourite lip products. I'm not going to go into too much detail, but this is really creamy when applying and then dries to a matte finish without drying your lips out too much. This is in the shade Grand-Cru.

Last but in no means least, one of my most used products. This is the Sleek i-Divine Palette in Storm. I absolutely adore Sleek palettes. Each palette has 12 shadows, and its only £7.99, which is such a bargin. I use the palette nearly every single day. This palette was perfect for over Christmas because it is full of shimmer. But, this palette can be incorporated for day and night shadows, using just a simple champagne colour all over the lid, or working a dark shimmer into the crease for a smokey eye. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Sleek products at the moment.

Boots No7 Beauty Advent Calendar Review | Abi Street

As i have mentioned before (See Post Here), my mum got me the Boots No7 Beauty Advent Calendar. I have only ever really used nail varnish from No7 so i was really excited to trail some new products, and also getting some beauty bits everyday was amazing!

I have separated the products into two different areas, face and body and then makeup and nail varnish.  Face and body wise, i received Beautiful Skin Radiance Exfoliator, Protect & Perfect intense Day Cream, Protect & Perfect Intense Night Cream, Blissful Body Wash, Completely Quenched Moisturising Body Lotion, Beautiful Skin Eye Makeup Remover, Youthful Eye Serum, Protect & Perfect Intense Hand Cream.

So far out of these products i have only used the day cream, night cream and eye serum. I am so happy with them already, i'm looking forward to trying out the rest of the products, especially the exfoliator.

Makeup wise i received, Stay Perfect Duo Nail Colour, Lash Impact Mascara, Essential Lip Brush, Stay Perfect Metallic Eye Pencil, Eye Shadow - Top Shade From Cappuccino Trio, Skin Illuminator - Peach, High Shine Lip Crayon - Delicate Pink, Eye Colour Brush, Stay Perfect Nail Colour - Highland Mist, Eye Shadow - Middle Shade From Good Earth Trio, Stay Precise Felt Tip Eyeliner, High Skine Lip Crayon - Daydreamer, Amazing Eyes Pencil - Brown, Intense Volume Mascara, Nail Effects - Disco Ball, Stay Perfect Metallic Eye Pencil - Black, Gel Look Shine Nail Colour - Deep Wine, Amazing Eyes Pencil - Black, Stay Perfect Duo Nail Colour - Hot To Trot & Cheeky Chops.

I am so happy with the beauty bits i recieved, i love the lip crayons and the skin illuminator. Also the size of the eyeliner is amazing!

Overall, I am insanely happy with the Boots No7 Advent Calendar. I think it is completely worth the money at only £35. Beauty advent calenders are perfect for people who want to try out some new brands, and even new products from brands they already love.

The only thing that i don't like about this advent calender, is the products are extremely difficult to get out of the packaging, also the cardboard housing rips very easily. Other than those two points, i loved it.

New Year, New Me? I Don't Think So | Abi Street

For me, 2014 has been the best year of my life (apart from one thing, but that is way to personal to splash all over the internet). I have done some of the most incredible things and had so many moments where I have been overwhelmed with happiness. Of course, it hasn't been all smiles, there has been some extremely low points. But I am glad I have managed to overcome them and come out a lot stronger.

I don't plan to make huge changes in 2015, I just want to keep things going as they are. So I have come up with some reasonable new year resolutions that I plan to stick to, as well as some goals I would like to achieve.

My new years resolutions are;

1) Continue to be happy.
This year I have really tried to focus on being happy regardless of what life throws at me. I'm aiming to keep this up throughout 2015, just being happy and taking every opportunity that comes to me.

2) Give More
I have seen a lot of things on Facebook and in the news recently and people giving packages to homeless people. Working in a homeless shelter on Christmas day is something I have wanted to do for years now, i have signed up to various sites but it seems they always have enough volunteers. But then I realised, its not just Christmas they need help in shelters, it's all throughout the year that's more important. So in 2015, I want to give my time and help to people that really need it!

My goals for 2015 are;

1) Get a first in three of my modules in university.
This is a really big goal for me, I'm trying so hard to really put a lot of hard work into university this year. I'm not sure how different this will be for different universitys, but our 3 highest modules get carried forward to third year, meaning we will start third year with that grade, by working really hard in second year, I will take a lot of pressure off of third year.

2) Continue to push my blog forward.
In 2014, my blog has developed so much, gaining more followers and a lot more views. In my eyes, the quality of my posts and photos have improved so much, I just want to keep this going. I don't have as many followers/views as a lot of other people, but to me it means so much. I get so excited every time I get a new followers or my views develop.

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has read/commented/followed my blog over the past year, it means so so much to me. And also everyone I have met in 2014, and my friends that have stuck by me throughout this year, thank you so much for being part of it!! (oh god, i'm getting emotional)
