Finding An Affordable Signature Scent

If you're anything like me, you have a ton of perfume bottles that you've collected through various birthdays and Christmases, that you proudly display somewhere in your humble abode. Again, if you're anything like me, most of these bottles are drastically lacking in containing actual perfume. In about 8 bottles of perfume that I own, combined there is probably only about half a bottles worth..

This is where it comes down to finding an affordable signature scent. Now, I bloody love Marc Jacobs, Hugo Boss and Paco Rabanne, if I'm ever lusting over perfume, it is definitely those three brands that I am reaching for. However, this is extremely costly, and for someone like me that doesn't have a large income, this is a problem.

Have you ever thought about heading to your favourite high street shop for a fragrance?

Being Receptive To Joy

There are times in life when you feel like you're on a downward spiral, whether it is a day, a week, a month or a year (Anyone else just start singing the Friends theme tune? Nope.. Just me?). It is very easy to get stuck in a rut, and for someone with anxiety, like me, it is extremely easy to fall into a negative mindset. I am currently in this mindset. I'm in quite a shitty period of my life, if you follow me on Twitter, you probably know why.. Despite trying to get out of this mindset, it is extremely difficult.

Improving my anxiety is always at the forefront of my mind, and no matter how anxious I feel, I always try to remember how far I have come - which is a hell of a long way. There are various things I do to attempt to minimize my anxiety; talking to loved ones about how I feel, using apps such as Calm and Headspace, exercising etc etc. One thing that I find particularly useful is to focus on the little things that happen daily that often slip straight past us. One of my favourite bloggers, Melissa  Media Marmalade, recently wrote two incredible blog posts #1, #2 that really struck a cord with me, and completely inspired me to write this.

Getting Picture Perfect Hair With Structure

Do you know what is annoying? When you spend 30 minutes perfectly curling your hair, looking in the mirror and wanting to self five (I hope at least one person got my How I Met Your Mother reference) at how awesome your hair looks. Then leaving the house with your head held high, 10 minutes later seeing your reflection in a car window to see your once perfect hair, is now limp and straighter than GHD could ever imagine!

No matter how many bottles of hairspray I have been through, or how many different brands I have tried, nothing works.. and I mean literally nothing. I was recently contacted to see if I wanted to try out some Structure products, after a browse at their website, I knew I just had to try them out. I chose three products to try, Beach Texture Spray*, Transform Spray Clay* and Animate Bodifying Styling Creme*. My go to hair look is a loose wave and I thought these three products would help me achieve the perfect look.

The One Where We Went To Friends Fest...

*Prepare yourself for a photo heavy post*

If you follow me on Instagram, you will be aware that I recently went to Friends Fest in Cardiff. As far as I am aware this is the second summer that Friends Fest has been running in the UK? I remember seeing a ton of posts from people last year and was insanely jealous! However this year, smug old me nabbed tickets as soon as I could for myself and James. We absolutely love Friends so we were super excited to go and explore all of the sets and take a ton of photos (Me, more so than James).

Purchasing The Perfect Gift For Any Occassion

It seems that no matter what time of year, there are always gifts to be bought for people - whether that be a birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Valentines Day or various other special occasions. If you know me personally, you'll know that I absolutely love buying gifts. No matter who it's for, I'll always get carried away, buy a ton of things that aren't necessary but I can't put down because it just reminded me of the person when I saw it. Honestly, it's quite a bad trait for me, because it means that I always end up spending a money.

When it comes to gift giving, I like to give personal, sentimental gifts. So the receiver really knows that I put my all into it and really did take the time to think about what they would want and love. Not to blow my own trumpet, but I am a bloody good gift giver. There is nothing I love more, than hunting for the perfect gift for someone, whether that mean spending ages in quirky little shops in arcades, or scrolling through endless gift websites until something perfect catches my eye.

Uncommon Goods is a site that has everything from kitchen accessories to jewellery, a scarf for your dog, literally everything! When looking for all your gifts at once, websites like Uncommon Goods are the perfect place - a one stop shop! One of my favourite things about Uncommon Goods is their values, meaning that although you're spending, your money is being used for the good. For example, Uncommon Goods stock handmade, recycled and organic products, and they've never sold a product that contains leather, feathers or fur! As well as this, they started a Better To Give programme in which you can select a non profit organisation of your choice to donate money at the checkout! Not only do you get amazing products, you feel good that you're giving back!
